People have expressed anguish over whether the compound wall built around the drinking water tank has also been damaged.

There is a water tank with a capacity of 6 lakh litres at Ramasamy Nagar in Udumalpet Municipality of Tirupur district. There have been allegations that the tank was not maintained properly.

Due to this, the bottom part of the tank, including the pillars, cracked and the concrete falls off and falls down. The compound wall built around the drinking water tank has also been damaged.

Moreover, the tank is full and the water does not flow out. Instead it stagnates on the lower side of the tank. As a result, the water tank gradually weakens and eventually collapses completely. Therefore, the public has demanded that the drinking water tank should be maintained.
