Aadi Kundam Festival at Kundathu Maakaliamman Temple attracts thousands of devotees

Hundreds of devotees took out a procession at Kundathu maakaliamman temple in Kurichi in Coimbatore on the occasion of Aadi month festivities. Later, they descended into the agni kundam organized in the premises of Maakaliamman temple and paid obeisance.


Coimbatore: A large number of devotees descended on agni kundam and offered obeisance at the Maakaliamman temple in Coimbatore on the occasion of Aadi month festival.

In the Kundathu Makaliamman temple in Coimbatore's Kurichi area, the aadi month pujas are celebrated every year with great fervour and gaiety.The main event will be the kundam landing festival on the occasion of Aadi month.

Accordingly, this year too, the Kundam festival was held in a grand manner. The event was attended by thousands of devotees from the surrounding areas.

In this, the Sakthi Karagams left the Pongaliamman temple and reached the Maakaliamman temple. Hundreds of devotees took out a beak-piercing procession.



Later, they descended on the Agni Kundam which was arranged in the premises of Maakaliamman temple and paid obeisance.

Following this, annadhanam was distributed to the devotees.
