DMK Secretary Na Karthik files complaint against ‘audio’ released by BJP leader Annamalai

39 false cases were registered against me during the previous AIADMK regime. Legal action against anti-social elements who released this defamatory audio has been initiated - DMK district secretary Na Karthik's statement.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore City District DMK Secretary Na Karthik said in a statement that those who have released the audio have done so because they are jealous of his stature in the party.

He said, “I have been working as Coimbatore city district DMK secretary. Since 1981, when I was in school, I have served in various capacities such as the DMK's student wing and the youth wing. I have also served as Deputy Mayor of Coimbatore Corporation and a member of the legislative assembly.

I am acting with utmost responsibility in serving the party and the public. I have been doing a great job by embracing the DMK cadres and the general public without causing any hindrance to the growth and policy of the DMK.

In such a situation, 39 false cases were registered against me during the previous AIADMK regime. I am facing those false cases legally. I am constantly working for the development of the Corporation.

In such a situation, some anti-social elements, jealous of my work, faked a false and defamatory audio clip about me. It has been published to spread rumours. I strongly condemn this act. Action should be taken as per law against the anti-social elements who released the audio to spread such rumours. Has filed a complaint with the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner.“
