In Tirupur, the AITUC health workers' union took out a rally to press for various demands and staged a protest in front of the corporation office.



Their various demands include, sanitary work should not be privatised in corporations, town panchayats and municipalities throughout Tamil Nadu and there should be no permanent instability in permanent employment, wages should not be reduced by increasing employment, permanent employees should not be transferred to other jobs, and workers who have worked for 480 days should be made permanent.



The AITUC health workers' union marched from Tirupur Kumaran Memorial and staged a protest in front of the corporation office demanding payment of minimum wages as fixed by the district collector.



The protesting workers raised slogans to press for their demands. They have also submitted a memorandum to the municipal commissioner and the mayor of the corporation after the protest.
