The industry wholeheartedly welcomes fresh suggestions related to 'Technical Textiles' and Research and Development. They are demanding the construction of 5,000 houses for the workers. If the place is available, action will definitely be taken to the notice of the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has been making various efforts towards the target of one trillion and urged the Tirupur industry to be supportive in this regard.
Addressing the media, he said, several demands regarding the knitwear sector have been made on behalf of the Tirupur industries department. Most of the demands are with the Union government.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has written a letter to the Union government seeking its immediate implementation. As far as tirupur knitwear sector is concerned, the Government of Tamil Nadu will support them and take all possible steps to take them on the path of industrial development.
To a question on the power tariff hike, he said the hike in power tariff is the policy of the Union government and it is up to them to consider this too.
