Anganwadi employees stage protest in Udumalpet

The Tamil Nadu Anganwadi Employees and Helpers Association at Udumalpet in Tirupur district is calling for anganwadi workers to be promoted as supervisors. Additionally, assistants who have completed 10 years of service should also be promoted immediately, as well as mini-centre employees who have completed five years of service.



Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu Anganwadi Employees and Helpers Association protested at Udumalpet in Tirupur district that anganwadi workers be promoted to supervisors.

Assistants who completed ten years of service should be promoted to mini-centre employees who have completed five years of service immediately.

They staged a protest demanding that maternity leave be given to women employees by the government for one year on the lines of the same and the vacant posts should be filled up.

The employees then raised slogans of demands.
