Coimbatore: Paramaguru is from Palanigoundanpudur in Coimbatore, near Pannimadai. He has been working in the gold jewellery manufacturing unit in a major gold and diamond jewellery manufacturing company based in Rakkipalayam, Coimbatore, since 2012.

In recognition of his efforts, Srinivasan, the company's owner, has been employed on a contract basis in the same company's diamond jewellery manufacturing unit since 2017.

Srinivasan, the company's owner, promises to provide a monthly wage of Rs 30,000 as well as a salary of Rs 30,000 on the basis of jewellery making for Paramaguru's work. He has also appointed 45 employees on the recommendation of Paramaguru to work in the division.

Meanwhile, Paramaguru was fired last year, claiming a decrease in output. Simultaneously, the owner, Srinivasan, has been delaying payment of Rs 60 lakh due to him. It is also said that when Paramaguru repeatedly urged him to pay the sum promised to him, the company's owner, Srinivasan, threatened him with abusive language. In this case, Paramaguru filed a complaint with the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police office on Tuesday, requesting appropriate action and the return of the money owed to him.

In a press interview, he stated that before he entered the diamond jewellery segment, the company had a business of just Rs 5 crore and that now, thanks to his hard work, the company has a business of many crores of rupees.

He also alleged that if he went to the licensee's house asking for the amount due to him, he would be threatened to lose if he came to the house by making derogatory remarks and that he had taken his signature on a blank stamp paper.
