Ward members boycott meeting and walk out against Panchayat president of Madhapur Panchayat near Palladam

Madhapur vice-president Baalu and four councillors boycotted the meeting saying that they were not heeding to the demands of the councillors and that the meeting, which was supposed to be held once in 60 days, should be cancelled and the meeting should be held in front of the district collectorate officials as it was being held late.

A simple meeting was held at palladam madhapur panchayat office in Tirupur district, which was attended by ward members under the chairmanship of panchayat president Ashok Kumar.



"There is no adherence to the rule of law and in the case of drinking water, if we pay Rs 15,000, the connection will be provided," he said.



He alleged that the panchayat president was deliberately delaying the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Yojana. Madhapur vice-president Baalu and four councillors boycotted the meeting saying that they were not heeding to the demands of the councillors and that the meeting, which was supposed to be held once in 60 days, should be cancelled and the meeting should be held in front of the district collectorate officials as it was being held late.

The sarpanch said that if all the employees of the collectorate come to hold the meeting, there will be various legal issues in it.



Following this, all the five ward councillors boycotted the meeting and walked out.

At that time, its vice-president Baalu told reporters that Annamalai, who is releasing the corruption list of Dravidian parties, should also release a corruption list of such panchayat presidents within his party.
