ED seals Senthil Balaji's brother's office in Karur

While various documents have been seized during the recent ED raids at the residences of Minister Senthil Balaji and his brother Ashok Kumar, The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sealed a textile company owned by Ashok Kumar in Karur.



Karur: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sealed a firm owned by minister Senthil Balaji's brother in Karur.

The income tax department's searches at the establishments, houses and offices of Minister Senthil Balaji and his brother Ashok Kumar in Karur, which began on May 26, ended after eight days.

On the basis of the documents obtained, the ED launched a raid yesterday. The raid, which began at 8 am at eight locations in Karur, ended at midnight.

Meanwhile, at the office of a textile company owned by Ashok Kumar, brother of Minister Senthil Balaji, in Karur Ramakrishnapuram area, As the raids have not been conducted so far, the ED officials who arrived there last night pasted a warning notice and sealed Ashok Kumar's office.

"This office should not be opened without our (ED's) permission," the notice said. We have to come to our office in Chennai in person and meet the officials and give an explanation. It was only after that that it was mentioned that the office should be opened.

Following this, the staff of the textiles office, who came to work as usual this morning, returned after seeing that it was locked and sealed.
