Harikrishnan, a nursing college student from Theni district, was riding a two-wheeler with his friend on Pollachi road near Eachanari. Harikrishnan died on the spot after his two-wheeler lost control and collided with a road.
Coimbatore: A college student was killed in a sad accident when his two-wheeler crashed into a road block at Eachanari on Pollachi road in Coimbatore district.
Harikrishnan (21), son of Andavar of Mariamman Koil Street, Kovilpatti, Theni district. He was staying in a separate room near Eachanari and was a first-year student of a private nursing college there.
Akash (18), son of Subramanian, a Thiruvarur district native, has been identified as the deceased. He is also staying and studying in the same college's first year. Hari Krishnan and Akash, who were in the room late last night, brought a two-wheeler owned by his friend Adithya and went to Malumichampatti for a cup of tea.
When they returned to their room, they came near the Anjaneya temple at Malumichampatti.

The two-wheeler lost control and collided with an iron railing in the middle of the road.

Harikrishnan was thrown out and died on the spot.
Those present rescued the seriously injured Akash and sent him to a private hospital in Sundarapuram for treatment. There he has been admitted to the intensive care unit and is undergoing treatment.
Madukkarai police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The incident has caused a lot of grief in the area.
