Public awareness created about ganja in Kotagiri

Public awareness about cannabis was created at Kerada and Kotagiri bus stand near Kotagiri. The police, led by Coonoor police inspector Govindasamy, highlighted the ill-effects of using cannabis on the occasion.

Ganja awareness was created at Kerada and Kotagiri bus stations near Kotagiri. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has given permission to the Tamil Nadu Police to take various steps to advance the future of school children and youth.

He has instructed to take strict action against those involved in cannabis drug offences. Based on this, on the orders of DGP Sylendra Babu, special teams headed by superintendent of police in each district have been formed and action is being taken against those involved in such crimes.

A team led by Coonoor police inspector Govindasamy created awareness among the public and youth in Kotagiri Nagar area and Gerada village about the ill-effects of cannabis addiction. Kotagiri traffic inspector Pathi, Kotagiri sub-inspectors Rahman Khan, Yadavkrishnan and kotagiri police personnel were also present on the occasion.
