Minister Saminathan inaugurated the government exhibition at Coimbatore Prison parade ground. He said the BJP will be wiped away in the northern states as it has been wiped away in the southern states.
Coimbatore: Minister of Information and Publicity M P Saminathan on Saturday said that the BJP will be boycotted in the north as it was ignored in the southern states as it was neglected in the southern states.
Tamil Development and Information Minister M P Saminathan inaugurated the government exhibition set up at coimbatore corporation prison parade ground.
In particular, he visited the auditorium organized by the police there.
Later, he visited modern equipment, including the gun on display, and inquired about its uses.
There are halls and entertainment facilities from various departments, including the police.
Especially the coimbatore corporation's main office model and building built there attracted everyone a lot.
On this occasion, welfare assistance was distributed to the beneficiaries on behalf of various departments.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Saminathan said, the chief minister is fulfilling the promises made at the time of elections. The promises made in Karnataka are the promises made in Tamil Nadu. That's what the Congress and the BJP announced by contesting.
The Congress is going to win and form the government in Karnataka. The DMK government is a guiding government for other states as well. On the first day of assuming office, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was the first to sign important schemes, including covid-19 financial assistance and free bus rides for women.
Chief Minister M K Stalin is also the one who personally visited the hospital and inspected the infected people during the covid-19 pandemic. Apart from this, the Chief Minister is also implementing various schemes such as medical care, innovation scheme, Rs 1,000 scholarship for college going girls etc.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Minister M P Saminathan said,
A Government Exhibition has been set up to make the people aware of the various works undertaken in government departments. The exhibition, which was set up last time, fetched a revenue of Rs 36 lakh.
Through these exhibitions, people will get to know the details of how to get government schemes. Replying to a question on the Congress' victory in the Karnataka elections, the minister said the BJP had brainwashed the people on religious grounds and captured power. When ever people get clarity from it, a situation like this will definitely happen to the BJP. I think the time has begun for that.
Free travel for women in buses, women's rights allowance, etc., were the things that the Congress put forward in Karnataka. It was because of this that the confidence of the people in the Congress was strengthened and the contempt for the BJP was taken up in the elections.
Such conditions will gradually come to every state. There will be a situation in the north as well, as in the southern states, there will be awareness that the BJP has been ignored. This is what he said.
Earlier in the day, he garlanded the statue of Kappalottiya Thamizhan V O Chidambaranar at the V.O.C. Grounds of Coimbatore Corporation.
Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap, Mayor Kalpana Anand Kumar, Deputy Mayor Vetrichelvan and other DMK leaders were present on the occasion.
