21 students hospitalized after noon meal in Valparai: Headaches and vomiting reported

In a shocking incident, 21 students of Valparai Government Primary School are undergoing treatment at a hospital after they complained of headache and vomiting after consuming a mid-day meal.

There are 43 students studying in the Panchayat Union Primary School at Valparai in Coimbatore district. They have been served lunch as usual. All the students have eaten. Following this, the students were also reportedly given nutritional supplements.

Following consumption on Thursday, a few students experienced mild headaches and vomiting around 3 p.m.



Following that, the 21 students were driven to the government hospital in an autorickshaw and a private vehicle by the school teachers. They are being treated there.



For the past few days, it has been raining in the area, and the drinking water has turned black. According to doctors, the students who consumed it may have developed vomiting and fainting.
