Coimbatore Collector Kranthi kumar Pati's surprise inspection of housing board projects

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati inspected the various projects being implemented by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board in Coimbatore district. He ordered that the works should be completed expeditiously and put to use by the people.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati reviewed the Housing Board's projects in the district.



He inspected the Tamil Nadu Housing Board's projects in Coimbatore, as well as the neet examination training centre for the students of government schools in the Kavundampalayam area.



He stated that 1,006 plots of land totaling 50 acres are being developed in Vellakinar village at a cost of Rs.50 crore. He also inspected the construction of tenements with 1800 houses at a cost of Rs.152.87 crore for the Economically Weaker Sections in an area of about 10.81 acres at Periyanaickenpalayam.

The District Collector visited the Coimbatore division office of the Housing Board and instructed the officials to complete the works at the earliest and put them to use. Subsequently, the District Collector visited the housing plots constructed under the Site Development Scheme by the Housing Department in Vellakinar village.

Later, the economically weaker sections of the society were informed about the facilities being provided in the division and the selection of beneficiaries.He also inquired about the number of housing units to be allocated to the four income groups: low income, middle income, and high income.



Following that, the District Collector inspected the progress of 500 tenements with 500 houses for economically weaker sections at Periyanaickenpalayam at a cost of Rs.152.17 crore and directed them to complete the remaining works as soon as possible.



Later, the District Collector visited the NEET Coaching Centre for the students of government schools functioning at Kavundampalayam and checked the quality of mid-day meals served to the students at the centre.
