Collector Unveiling the loan scheme book: Coimbatore district sets Rs.35,170 crore loan target for 2023-2024

District Collector Kranthikumar Pati, released the loan scheme book for banks in the district today at the District Collectorate in Coimbatore, stated that a target of Rs 35,170 crore has been set for disbursement of loans to the Coimbatore district in the loan scheme for 2023-2024, the highest in Tamil Nadu.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore district banks have set a target of disbursing loans to the tune of Rs 35,170 crore in 2023-2024, district collector Krantikumar Padi has said.

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar released the annual credit scheme (ACP) book of Coimbatore District Banks for the fiscal year 2023-2024 at the Collectorate auditorium in Coimbatore.



The first copy of the book was received by Canara Bank Deputy General Manager Sobhit Asthana and NABARD District Manager Thirumala Rao.



District Collector Kranthikumar Pati stated on the occasion,

Every year, NABARD prepares and releases a resource-based bank lending scheme for each district. As a result, the Coimbatore district has set a target of disbursing loans through banks to the highest level in Tamil Nadu of Rs 35,170 crore.

A total of Rs 35,170 crore has been targeted for loan disbursement in the 2023-2024 loan scheme - Rs 15,000 crore for agriculture, Rs 18,850 crore for MSME centre, and Rs 1320 crore for other priority loans. This is an increase of Rs 7470 crore over the previous year.

Following that, the District Collector presented the Best Entrepreneur Awards to 5 persons who were trained in RSETI.
