For the first time in Tirupur district, police officials from Mangalam and Palladam area inaugurated the "Velocity Skating Complex", a skating playground of international standards at Unjapalayam near Palladam.
Tirupur: Today marked the opening of an international-standard skating ground at Palladam.
The "Velocity Skating Complex," a skating stadium of international standards set up on an area of nearly two acres in Unjapalayam, near Palladam in Tiruppur district, opened today.
Mangalam police inspector Gopalakrishnan, Palladam police sub-inspector Rajan and Tiruppur district skating association secretary Thangadurai were the special guests and inaugurated the skating ground set up in international standards by cutting a ribbon.
Deputy Inspector Rajan flagged off the skating team of students undergoing skating training.
More than 100 students walked around the newly opened skating ground with wheels tied to their feet.
"For the first time in Tirupur district, this skating ground has been opened at Unjapalayam near Palladam," stated Kamaraj,founder of Velocity Skating Complex, on the occasion.
To encourage students, skate training grounds should be established throughout the Tirupur district.
The stadium will assist a significant number of youngsters from Palladam regions in achieving various milestones in the game of skating at the state and national levels.
