Coimbatore: Bharat Gaurav trains are being operated in India, next only to passenger and freight trains, depending on tourist destinations.
These trains showcase the culture and spiritual heritage of India. These are managed not only by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) but also by the private sector.
A press conference on the Bharat Gaurav train service to be operated from Coimbatore to Shirdi was held at the Coimbatore Press Club.
South Star Rail Coordinator Murali stated on the occasion, "So far, six south star special trains have been run from Coimbatore to Shirdi under the Bharat Gaurav Yojana, the Prime Minister of India's dream project." The Coimbatore-Shirdi train, which is set to begin service on May 1, will carry 250 passengers. There is also a railroad bed and an AC facility.
A high-quality vegetarian meal and broadcast of devotional music have been arranged for the passengers while they travel around 2,600 km. After staying for two days, the passengers will have a special darshan on Thursday. Special darshan slips will be issued for the same.
Doctors will be there for the safety of the passengers. Because of the spread of covid-19, the coaches will be kept clean so that passengers can have a better experience seeing Shirdi.
