Student Federation of India (SFI) demonstrates in Coimbatore against removal of Maulana Abul kalam Azad's subject in History textbook

In Coimbatore, the Students Federation of India protested against the recent deletion of Mughals history and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India's first education minister, from history textbook released by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).


Coimbatore: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) removed the history of the Mughals and the lesson on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India's first education minister, from its recently issued history textbook.

Various organisations and political parties have been protesting and registering their opposition around the country.



As part of this, the Students Federation of India protested in front of the Government Arts College in Coimbatore, alleging that the centre was erasing Indian history.
