DMK district secretary Thalapathy Murugesan and city council president Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan inaugurated the bhoomi pooja for the construction of a new integrated bus stand on the Pollachi-Coimbatore road, which is estimated to cost Rs 7 crore.
Coimbatore: On Monday, Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, president of the city council, inaugurated the integrated bus stand that was being built on the Pollachi-Coimbatore road.
Under the Infrastructure Development Project, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has allotted money for the construction of new bus stands at seven locations, including Pollachi.

The Bhoomi Pujan Ceremony for the Rs 7 crore Infrastructure Development Project's integrated new bus stand was held in an effort to reduce traffic congestion in the Pollachi City Area.

Thalapathy Murugesan, the DMK district secretary for Coimbatore South, and Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, city council president , were present on occasion.

It has been announced that the transport office will function as a bus stand with all facilities, including a parking lot for two- and four-wheelers. The bus stand will be spread over an area of 3.2 acres and will have a parking facility for 40 buses, 64 shops, 2 hostels, a security room, and a lactation room.
