Coimbatore: On Monday, Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, president of the city council, inaugurated the integrated bus stand that was being built on the Pollachi-Coimbatore road.
Under the Infrastructure Development Project, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has allotted money for the construction of new bus stands at seven locations, including Pollachi.
The Bhoomi Pujan Ceremony for the Rs 7 crore Infrastructure Development Project's integrated new bus stand was held in an effort to reduce traffic congestion in the Pollachi City Area.

It has been announced that the transport office will function as a bus stand with all facilities, including a parking lot for two- and four-wheelers.
