Coimbatore Poochiyur Bannariamman Temple Pookunda Utsava Festival

50th anniversary of the Sanjeevi Bannari Mariamman Temple at Poochiyur near Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore was celebrated in a grand manner. A large number of devotees from the surrounding areas participated in the event and offered prayers.



Coimbatore: The 50th annual pookunda utsava of Bannari Mariamman Temple near Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore was celebrated in a grand manner.

Sanjeevi Bannari Mariamman Temple is located at Poochiyur Ravutthagollanoor near Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore. In the 50th year of pookunda utsava festival was celebrated in this temple with great pomp and show.

Ganapathi Homam and Poochattu on The 27th of last month as the first event of pookunda utsava. Starting with the pole planting ceremony, there were events like bringing sanjeevi vana theertham, calling sakthi, opening of kundam and setting fire in agni kundam on Monday.



This morning, the pookundam landing ceremony was held following the call of Sakthi Karam. Hundreds of devotees from the surrounding areas participated in it and descended on the pookundam.



This was followed by flower-picking and abishek poojas were performed to amman.



In this festival, a large number of people from the surrounding areas participated and had darshan of the deity.
