The protestors raised slogans emphasizing that the RTI information of the government departments including the Corporation, Municipal Corporation, Panchayat and Revenue Department in Coimbatore is not properly delivered to the petitioners who are petitioning under the Right to Information Act.
Coimbatore: A protest was held on Monday morning before the Coimbatore South Tahsildar office on behalf of the Coimbatore Right to Information Law Activists Federation.

Federation President PV Gopal led the demonstration themed under "RTI: search and solution". Thiagarajan, coordinator of the awareness drive, took the lead along with the federation head.

The protestors raised slogans emphasizing their demands. The protesters alleged that the RTI information of the government departments including the Corporation, Municipal Corporation, Panchayat and Revenue Department in Coimbatore is not properly delivered to the petitioners who are petitioning under the Right to Information Act.
Also, it was stated that the Information Commissioners' positions are vacant for more than 4 months in Tamil Nadu. The protestors said, "The Tamil Nadu government should take steps to dispatch information-seeking applications online in all departments."
People's Awareness Foundation Founder Hakeem, Peelamedu Consumer Vice President Gopal and many others participated in this protest.
