Udumalpet Police trap unidentified robbers after House Lock in!

Criminals broke into the home of Panchalingam, a resident of Poolanginaru in Udumalpet in the Tiruppur district, and stole six sovereigns worth of gold jewellery. The Udumalai police have opened an investigation and filed a case.


Tirupur: A man smashed into the lock of a residence near Udumalpet and took jewels in a terrible event.Panchalingam (58), son of Ayyavu, a local of Poolanginaru near Udumalpet in Tiruppur district, has been identified as the deceased. Working in a mill. His wife had gone to visit her daughter in Palakkad.

Panchalingam was staying at home alone and going to work in this circumstance. On the day of the tragedy, he proceeded to the mill after locking the house at 9.30 p.m. for night shift.He returned home around 6 a.m. the next day after work. At the time, the latch on the front door of the house had broken, leaving the house open. Panchalingam walked inside, he discovered that the bedroom cupboard had been broken, and the contents had been spread over the room.

It was also revealed that the miscreants had stolen six sovereigns in gold jewellery from the cupboard. Panchalingam then enquired with the neighbours and told the family.

The miscreants are being searched by Udumalai police, who have opened an investigation based on Panchalingam's statement regarding the incident. The authorities are also looking at the CCTV cameras in the vicinity as well as the movement of new people.
