1.5 kilogramme of ganja found in Coimbatore's Thudiyalur; youth detained

Vinod Kumar, a youth involved in the sale of Ganja in the Goundampalayam region of Coimbatore, was detained by Thudiyalur police and 1 kg of 500 grams of Ganja and Rs 65,000 in cash were taken from him.


Coimbatore: The Thudiyalur police were informed that some individuals were engaged in the sale of Ganja in Coimbatore neighborhoods that were within their jurisdiction.

Following that, police officers, including the sub-inspector, were patrolling the SKR Park area in Goundampalayam on the orders of Thudiyalur inspector Gnanasekaran.

At the moment, the young man who was standing there suspiciously was apprehended and interrogated.

Vinod Kumar, a resident of the same area, was proven to have smuggled ganja from Kuchipalayam in Andhra Pradesh via rail and was selling it in the Goundampalayam area.

Following this, the police arrested and imprisoned Vinod Kumar. He was also arrested with 1 kg of 500 grammes of ganja and Rs 65,000 in cash.

Vinod Kumar already has multiple cases pending against him at the Thudiyalur police station.
