Elephant rampage in Udumalpet leaves 3 vehicles destroyed

Recently, three vehicles were damaged after an encounter with a wild elephant near Udumalpet. When a wild elephant (Komban), who was standing in the centre of Udumalai Maraiyur road in Tirupur district, attacked it with a tusk, three vehicles suffered harm to their front ends.


Tirupur: A wild elephant attacked three cars near Udumalpet, causing damage to all three.



The tipper lorry was travelling to Poongan Odai on the state highway between Udumalpet and Munnar to transport building supplies from Maraiyur near the Tamil Nadu–Kerala border.



The wild elephant, which was blocking the road, neared the tipper truck and used its two tusks to stab the tipper truck in the front.

Additionally, it struck another vehicle in the back and collided with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction that had a Tamil Nadu registration number.

Three automobiles also sustained harm. One wild elephant stood in the centre of the road, stopping traffic for hours.
