Thondamuthur MLA S P Velumani has urged the ruling party not to criticise the previous regime and implement the schemes needed by the people at the earliest.
Coimbatore: AIADMK inaugurated the Buttermilk Pandhal in Coimbatore.
Former minister and MLA SP Velumani participated in the function and distributed coconut water, fruits andbuttermilk to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that every year during the summer season, only the AIADMK is helping the public by setting up water buttermilk pandals for the public.
Moreover, it was the AIADMK that gave many good projects to Coimbatore forever. In the last two years, the DMK has not brought any proposal to Coimbatore. The present Tamil Nadu government is not speeding up the projects that the AIADMK has already come up with.
Despite several protests on behalf of the AIADMK, no project has been implemented so far. At least now the Vidhya government should wake up and solve the problems of the people without any discrimination.Edappadi K Palaniswami will be the chief minister whenever elections are held as there is a lot of dissatisfaction with the DMK as a whole, he said.
"Edappadi K Palaniswami will act as the chief minister who understands the problems of the people. At present Chief Minister M K Stalin is an advertising chief minister who does not know about the people. In Tamil Nadu, the press industry is being threatened. He also alleged that the ruling party was being threatened to publish positive news.
He said that during the AIADMK regime, not only the road works in Coimbatore but also various projects were taken up and coimbatore was redeveloped and no work was done in the last two years and even the works already planned had not been completed.
He also criticised the ruling party for not closing down even the roads dug up for drinking water works and saying that money was allocated for the media.
SP Velumani said that the people of Coimbatore know that the schemes that were not there in 50 years during the AIADMK rule were done during the AIADMK rule and urged the ruling party to do what is necessary for the people without blaming the previous regime.
