Tirupur South MLA Selvaraj, who inspected the TMC colony near Thennampalayam, said, he warned the officials that if they did not pay attention to the basic issues of the public, he would have to speak to the Assembly and transfer them.
Tirupur: MLA Selvaraj, who conducted an inspection near Thennampalayam in Tirupur district, warned the officials.
There are more than 100 tenements in TMC Colony next to Thennampalayam on Palladam Road. Due to heavy rains in Tirupur district for more than two hours yesterday, rainwater along with sewage water entered the habitations in the area.
Corporation Commissioner Pawan Kumar and MLA Selvaraj inspected the area today after the people of the area demanded an immediate solution.
Tirupur South MLA Selvaraj, who inspected the area, said the authorities were acting with negligence in the area where the sanitation workers live.

It also appears that the authorities are deliberately ignoring the area inhabited by cleaning workers across the village. He warned that if this situation persists, he would have to speak to the Assembly about the negligence of the authorities and transfer them.
He also directed the officials to take steps to ensure that rainwater does not enter the residential area again.
