Heavy rains lashes Tirupur district, leaving motorists stranded in pot- holed stretches

Due to heavy rains, traffic was disrupted for some time in areas including Uthukuli railway gate and Anaipalayam.


Tirupur: The vehicular traffic , which got stuck on potholed road stretches due to heavy rains and flooding of the roads were pulled out and brought to safety with the help of the general public.

Tirupur district has been witnessing hot days in the past few days.

However, it suddenly rained heavily which lashed part of the district, leaving vehicles stranded in pot-holed stretches in roads.



Vehicles stuck on the potholed roads, especially on Uthukuli Road, Railway Gate area and Anaipalayam, were brought to safety by using goods van which was passing by.



Due to this, traffic was disrupted for some time in areas including Uthukuli railway gate and Anaipalayam.

The people of Tirupur district have demanded that steps be taken to relay the battered roads in the district.
