The 49th International India International Knit Fair 2018 began in Tirupur on Wednesday. Synthetic yarn dresses, recycled garments, baby caring garments are on display in 70 halls.
Tirupur: The 49th International India International Knit Fair began on Wednesday at the India Knitwear Exhibition complex at Thirumuruganpoondi near Tirupur.

The three-day summer and winter garments exhibition was inaugurated by Sakthivel, president of the Federation of Indian Exporters and Ramachandran, Executive Officer, Aditya Birla Group.

The exhibition showcases a large number of hosiery manufacturers' products and synthetic fabrics in 70 halls. The exhibition is visited by a large number of foreign traders.

The exhibition is being organised by the Apparel Export Promotion Council, Tiruppur Exporters Association and IKF Association.

Winter clothes and fabric varieties, baby caring dresses made of green bamboo, sports wear, cutting waste that falls while making clothes on a recycled basis, yarn is produced using plastic bed bottles, followed by t-shirts and children's clothes and are displayed in the exhibition.

Speaking to reporters, Ramachandran, executive officer of Aditya Group, said, I am happy that Tirupur, which was 30 years ago, has now grown on a massive scale. Hosiery made from artificially produced yarns is gaining popularity globally. Tirupur district has started on its path. It will definitely grow, he said.
