Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Health Center inaugurated in Coimbatore

Special guest Coimbatore Member of Parliament PR Natarajan addressed the event. He thanked the central government for providing this centre to Coimbatore for the benefit of central government employees.


Coimbatore: The inauguration ceremony of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Health Center under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare was held today at BSNL office premises near Coimbatore railway station.



Special guest Coimbatore Member of Parliament PR Natarajan addressed the event.



He thanked the central government for providing this centre to Coimbatore for the benefit of central government employees.

He also requested that Coimbatore be provided with medical centres including Ayurveda and Yunani treatments.

Following this, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia presided over the virtual inauguration of this wellness centre.

Alongside, Coimbatore South Constituency Assembly Member Vanathi Srinivasan virtually participated in the event. Many central government employees and pensioners participated in the event.



This wellness centre was reportedly established after a decade's effort since 2014. It was noted that this wellness centre is in conjunction serving the districts of Coimbatore, Nilgiri, Tirupur and Erode. Current and retired Central government employees along with their families are the beneficiaries of this wellness care, wherein the treatment of delivered free of cost.
