Parked Car catches fire due to gas leak near G.N. Mills

“The fire could have been started as the gas leaked from the cylinder fitted in the car,” the Police said.



Coimbatore: A parked car caught fire near G. N. Mills at Mettupalayam Road in the city.



Fire tenders arrived at the spot and put out the fire by spraying water.



Passerby noticed smoke emanating from the car, which was parked on the roadside in Mettupalayam road in G. N. Mills area.



Upon investigation by the police, it was found out that the parked car belonged to one Prabhakaran.

“The fire could have been started as the gas leaked from the cylinder fitted in the car,” the Police said.



Further investigations are on.
