Tippler causes traffic chaos on the busy Mettupalayam road, as he blacks out in his car near Kavundampalayam

Coimbatore: A tipple who has blacked out, after a bout of heavy drinking, parked his car on a busy highway at Kavundampalayam and went into deep sleep. Police have to break open the windshield and rescue the drunken man

Police noticed that a car was parked on the road near a flyover at Kavundampalayam on Mettupalayam road for a long time, despite the busy traffic.



Following this, the public and motorists checked and looked inside the car and found a person sleeping.



The police were duly informed as the efforts of onlookers to revive him failed.



Finally, the police have to break open the window glasses of the car as all efforts to revive him failed.



Later, the police pulled him out of the car and restored the traffic in the area.



According to police, the identity of the person was revealed as Ranjith, a native of Vakarayampalayam in Coimbatore, and he was working as a manager in a private company and he got blacked out in the car itself after heavy drinking.



Police said the drunk man caused an accident and then stopped the vehicle on the road itself before going into a deep sleep.
