Spotted deer hit and killed by a speeding vehicle near Kinathukadavu

The forest department officials are investigating the death of a spotted deer, which died after being hit by a speeding vehicle on the road from Vadasithur village to Panappatti near Kinathukadavu.


Coimbatore: Spotted deer are found in large numbers on the banks of the river on the roadsides near Vadasithur village near Kinathukadavu.



Last night, an unidentified speeding vehicle hit and killed a spotted deer, which strayed onto the roadside.



The residents of the area were shocked to see the dead spotted deer carcass and informed the forest department.



The forest department officials, who reached the spot, are interrogating the villagers about the death of the spotted deer.



Doubts were raised as to whether the spotted deer really died after being hit by a vehicle, or was it hunted down by poachers.
