During the investigation, it was established that Ajith Kumar, Chandrasekhar and Gautham were migrant labourers, originally hailing from Karnataka.
Coimbatore: Three persons were arrested for attempting to commit robbery using a shot gun used for bird hunting. The migrant laborers were lounging in the Lanka Corner area, when patrolling police intercepted them.
The police interrogated and later arrested the three and took them to Ukkadam police station
During the investigation, it was established that Ajith Kumar, Chandrasekhar and Gautham were migrant labourers originally hailing from Karnataka.
The three were working as labourers in the city and were occasionally engaged in fowl hunting.
The trio had planned to carry out the robbery with the gun, but was arrested by the police on patrol duty.
The police seized the shotgun and a bag from the arrested persons and produced the trio in court and remanded them in custody.
