One dies and another injured as cement- laden truck collides with another truck and a two-wheeler near Madukkarai

In the accident, Senthil Kumar, a resident of Palathurai, who was riding the two-wheeler, died on the spot.



Coimbatore: A speeding truck carrying a cement load proceeding to Kerala lost control and dashed against a lorry coming from the opposite direction and a two-wheeler. The truck came to a halt after barging into a house on the side of the road.

In the accident, Senthil Kumar, a resident of Palathurai, who was riding the two-wheeler, died on the spot.



The truck also rammed into iron signboards before entering a house on the side of the road.

Truck driver Bhaskaran escaped with minor injuries. Madukkarai police have registered a case in connection with the accident and are investigating.

It is to be noted that a major accident was averted as no one was outside the house during the early morning hours.
