Fire breaks out at label packaging firm near Tirupur, goods worth lakhs of rupees gutted

A major fire broke out at a label packaging company operating near Velampalayam in Tirupur. The fire tenders rushed to the spot and fought for an hour to bring the flames under control.



Tirupur: Goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in a fire that broke out at a label packaging company near Velampalayam in Tirupur district.

A label packaging company owned by Muthu is functioning in A.P. Nagar near Velampalayam. There are more than 5 employees working in the company.

It is said that the workers were working, as usual, today and noticed fire breaking out from the machinery. In the meanwhile, the fire spread to a nearby house.



The workers, who were shocked to see the fire spread, immediately rushed out of the spot and alerted the Fire service.



Tirupur North fire tenders rushed to the spot and fought for an hour to bring the fire under control.

Machinery and equipment worth lakhs of rupees in the label packaging company were gutted in the fire.

The Anupparpalayam police have registered a case and are investigating the matter as the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
