Abandoned new-born baby rescued from a garbage bin near Annur

Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a two-day-old newborn baby was found in a roadside garbage bin at Chanampalayam near Annur.

When sanitation workers were engaged in routine work at Kattabomman Nagar, Chanampalayam near Annur, the sound of a baby crying near a garbage bin on the roadside caught their attention.

When the suspicious staff opened the bag in the garbage bin, they found a two-day-old baby girl with the umbilical cord intact.

Shocked by this, the staff rescued the child and sent him to Annur Government Hospital in a private ambulance.



The child is being treated at the Annur Government Hospital.

The Annur police are collecting a list of babies born in the past two days in government maternity hospitals in the area. retain its motherhood.

The police are also investigating whether the baby was abandoned because it was born outside marriage or for being a girl child.
