Police arrests 64 persons in Coimbatore as a preventive measure.


As Tamil Nadu is facing an unstable political situation, the intelligence department has warned that some miscreants have planned to disrupt the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu using the prevailing palaver.

Following the warning of the intelligence department, the police are arresting the persons with criminal background all over the state as a precautionary measure to avoid undesirable incidents that could adversely disturb the law and order situation in our state.

In this connection, in Coimbatore 64 persons with criminal background from Mettuppalayam, Annur, Pollachi, Valparai, Periyanaickenpalayam, Sulur and Thondamuthur and one person from the corporation limit have been arrested by the City Police.

All the 64 people who have been arrested are linked with cases involved in disrupting law and order and other related issues. It is said that the Police will continue to look out for such trouble makers and arrest them as a step of precaution.
