Police personnel celebrate Pongal at Tirupur South police with traditional fervour

During the Pongal festival being celebrated at Tirupur South Police station, the police personnel dressed in traditional attire offered Pongal. When Pongal was on the boil, they chanted 'Pongalo Pongal', and also danced, and sang on the occasion.


Tirupur: Pongal festival was celebrated at Tirupur South police station with traditional fervour.



All the police personnel attached to the Tirupur South police station, dressed in traditional attire, participated in the Pongal festival, which was presided over by inspector Pichaiya.



The police station was decorated with a colour rangoli on the occasion. The police personnel expressed their happiness by chanting 'Kulavai' and 'Pongalo Pongal' and danced and sang as Pongal was made.



It must be noted that the Tirupur South Police Station was selected as the best police station in Tamil Nadu last year and was awarded the Chief Minister's Award.
