Two youths arrested for criminal assault on a couple near Selvapuram

Police have arrested two youths for criminal assault on a couple by barging into their house in Selvapuram.


Coimbatore: Raja hails from Balaji Avenue, Keeraithottam near Selvapuram and he lives with his wife Kala.

Two unidentified youths, barged into the house attacked both Raja and Kala and, threatened them with dire consequences.

Selvapuram police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the culprits.

In the meanwhile, Police arrested Gunasekaran and Dinesh for the criminal assault.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Raja and Kala had informed the Police that Gunasekaran's brother Karthik was involved in the sale of ganja in the area, which angered the duo.

The two were produced in court and remanded in custody.
