Shanmugasundaram (63) from Alanthurai Green Garden in Coimbatore district and he was working as a watchman in a private company.
When he went to work yesterday, a speeding motorcycle which was proceeding to Puluvapatti, dashed against him, when he crossed the road.
Shanmuga Sundaram, who was seriously injured in the incident, was rescued by the locals, and sent to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. He was admitted to the intensive care unit, but succumbed to his injuries.
The Alanthurai police have registered a case and are interrogating a youth named Sathish Kumar, who was driving the two-wheeler.
