At a meeting held at the AIADMK office in Coimbatore district, S P Velumani accused the DMK's allies of not raising their voice on any people's issues nor fulfilling any promises made before the election.
Coimbatore: A meeting of AIADMK cadres chaired by the former Minister S P Velumani was held at the AIADMK office in Coimbatore on Wednesday. The AIADMK had earlier announced that it would hold a protest on January 3, 5 and 9 to protest against the hike in property tax, electricity tariff and milk prices. The meeting was attended by several people, including AIADMK legislators and office - bearers.
Former Minister, S P Velumani slammed the DMK saying, "The achievement of the DMK regime was to make Udhayanidhi Stalin a Minister in one-and-a-half years. M K Stalin will do whatever he said he would not do. Edappadi K Palanisamy closed down liquor shops during the Corona period. Stalin opened liquor shops during the Corona period.
"My son and son-in-law will not enter politics," Stalin said earlier but Udhayanidhi Stalin has been crowned gradually. Anna started the DMK as there was tumult in the Congress party. But the DMK is worse than the Congress.
The DMK has been turned into a family dynasty. Even Karunanithi kept Stalin from being given the post till the end. ButUdhayanidhi Stalin is being given the post quickly. Vaiko was removed from the party for Stalin's sake. But Vaiko has not said anything at the moment."
He further alleged, "DMK's allies do not raise their voice on any of the people's issues. The DMK has not fulfilled any of its promises. The achievement of the DMK regime was to crown his son. People now think why did they even vote for the DMK? Is it fair for the media to make history of Udhayanidhi Stalin's entry into politics? If the media abandons it, the DMK rule will be gone. M K Stalin is the only Chief Minister who has done nothing."
"The AIADMK is the party that has been in power for the longest time. The DMK's only aim is to loot. Not even half of the protests that took place during the AIADMK rule took place under the DMK regime. Nobody can stop the AIADMK from coming back to power. Those who have betrayed this party cannot be good. The DMK's IT wing is damaging AIADMK leaders and MLAs.
The DMK's IT wing is spreading false information that K R Jayaraman is crossing over to the DMK. If they leave this party, the curse of the cadres who are working for the AIADMK party will come to pass. Trusting the DMK is like committing suicide," added S P Velumani.
