Chief Minister Mk Stalin inaugurates houses constructed for BPL families through video conferencing

In Coimbatore district, the Urban Habitat Development Board has constructed tenements at a total cost of Rs.93.74 crore for 1,120 beneficiaries including 30 differently-abled and 46 transgenders., Chief Minister M K Stalin. handed over the tenements through video conference.



Coimbatore: The Urban Habitat Development Board has constructed new tenements at Sulur, Pannimadai and Selvapuram in Coimbatore district at an estimated cost of Rs 93.76 crore.



A function to distribute these tenements to the beneficiaries was held today at the District Collectorate.



Chief Minister M K Stalin participated in the event via video conferencing from Chennai and handed over the tenements to 1120 beneficiaries, which included 30 differently-abled and 46 transgenders from Coimbatore.



In addition to this, work orders worth about Rs.21 crore were also issued to construct 1000 houses for beneficiaries with a subsidy of Rs.2.10 lakh under the "Housing for All scheme".



Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran, Corporation Mayor Kalpana, Deputy Mayor Vetri Selvan and others were present on the occasion.
