Rural Development Minister Periyakaruppan, who arrived at Coimbatore to attend various programmes in the city inaugurated the women's self-help group's sales outlet.

Minister of Electricity Senthil Balaji, Rural Development Secretary Amudha, District Collector GS Sameeran, Corporation Commissioner Prathap and others were present on the occasion.

Addressing the media, Periya Karuppan said that the rural development department is implementing the works in all the districts of the state and inspections are carried out in each districts including in Erode district yesterday and in Coimbatore district today.
"So far, the products produced by the SHG groups have been sold on the streets and in the villages. The outlet has been set up so that the products can be sold at the airport" the minister said.

This is a testimony to the fact that the products of women's self-help groups are of good quality he said and added that. In Coimbatore district, various kinds of products are being produced by women self-help groups, which have have been put up for sale in the outlet" the minister said.
