The action of the city police, who along with the corporation employees carried out the cleanliness drive in the Pullukadu housing unit area of Ukkadam in Coimbatore, has been appreciated by the people.
Coimbatore: On the instructions of Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, a team led by R S Puram Assistant Commissioner Ravikumar, Inspector of Market Street Police Station, R S Puram Inspector and police along with corporation staff carried out the cleanliness drive in Ukkadam Pullukadu housing unit area.
More than 100 people, including city police and corporation employees, were involved in cleaning the entire Ukkadam Pullukadu housing unit and its surrounding area.
They removed the garbage lying in the area and the plants that had grown unnecessarily. More than 50 college students also carried out cleanliness drive and cleaned the area.
Cleanliness work is common to all. This initiative was taken by the police in collaboration with the corporation staff on the basis that it is we who have to keep our place clean.
