The schemes brought in by the AIADMK are not working and those schemes should be implemented.”

“In one-and-a-half years, the Chief Minister has not made any project for Coimbatore. Former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami gave all the projects asked for, in Coimbatore but the Government has not implemented those schemes. We have given the highest growth in 50 years in 10 years.

During the AIADMK rule, major roads in Coimbatore were expanded. We built many flyovers. We implemented various projects for Coimbatore. There was no mosquito repellent in the Corporation areas. There are no medicines in Government Hospitals. People are suffering due to the increase in taxes. Edappadi Palanisamy met the Governor only for the people. Tamil Nadu's Intelligence agencies are not functioning. The police have failed. The Governor does not belong to any party. The Chief Minister should pay attention to the people's issues,” demanded S P Velumani.

The meeting was attended by AIADMK legislators and office-bearers of Coimbatore district.
