The herdsman Jeganathan filed a petition at the Collectorate with a 'halwa' in his hand, in a novel manner, to highlight that no action had been taken on the complaint he had filed with the police as well as the petitions he had filed at the Collector's office against AIADMK cadres who had reportedly poisoned his 12 goats near Vedapatti in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Jeganathan who hails from Vedapatti in Coimbatore district is a herdsman. In 2019, 12 of his goats were allegedly poisoned to death by Senthil, Palaniappan and Pandian of the AIADMK party who lived near his house.
Jeganathan lodged a complaint with the Vadavalli police station in this regard but no action has been taken thus far for the last three years.
Even though he had filed several petitions with the District Collector's office, Jeganathan realised there was no action being taken and hence arrived at the Coimbatore District Collector's office on Monday with a 'halwa' in his hand and submitted a petition in a novel manner.
"For the last three years, they have been harassing me without taking any action on my complaint. I want to return my goats and take action against those who committed the crime. For three years, I brought the halwa to give halwa to those who gave halwa without investigating my complaint," said Jeganthan.
