Congress celebrates Children's Day in Coimbatore in honour of India’s first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

At the Congress party's district office near Coimbatore railway station to celebrate Nehru's birth anniversary, Rajasthan MLA Madan Prajapat distributed notebooks and sweets to school children.


Coimbatore: The birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated annually as Children's Day. Accordingly, this year too, children's day is being celebrated at various places across the country.

As part of this, children's day was celebrated at the Coimbatore district Congress office located near the Coimbatore railway station.



Rajasthan legislator Madan Prajapat attended the function and distributed notebooks and sweets to school children.



On the occasion, a portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru was garlanded and a tribute was paid.



Congress state working president Mayura Jayakumar and others were present at the meeting.
