Car catches fire in the middle of the road near Singanallur in Coimbatore

When the car came near Singanallur, suddenly smoke came out of the front of the car. Later, it caught fire and started burning. The Sulur fire department acted immediately and doused the fire.


Coimbatore: Sathish Kumar hails from Chokkampalayam near Dharapuram in Tirupur district. He was on his way to Coimbatore in his car tonight.

When they reached near Singanallur in Coimbatore, suddenly smoke came out of the front of the car. Seeing this, he immediately stopped the car. Later, the front portion of the car caught fire and started burning.

Sulur fire department, which came to know about the incident, immediately acted and doused the fire.

In the accident, parts of the car were burnt and destroyed. Police said the cause of the fire is not known and an investigation is underway into the incident.
