Heavy rains to lash Coimbatore, Tirupur for next 2 days - TNAU Meteorological Centre

Coimbatore and Tirupur districts are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next two days and 50-60 mm of rain is being predicted by the TNAU.


Coimbatore: The TNAU Meteorological Centre has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Coimbatore and Tirupur for the next two days.

Ramanathan, head of the Centre for Climate Research at Coimbatore Agricultural University said, “As far as the northeast monsoon is concerned, Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall for the next two days.

There is a possibility of 50-60 mm of rain. There will be less rainfall in Erode district.”
