Speaking to the media after the City Council Meeting near Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore, Minister Senthil Balaji stated that the Electricity Board was ready to face the monsoon and that 1.5 lakh new electricity poles were ready.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister, Senthil Balaji attended the City Council Meeting in the Ramanathapuram area of Coimbatore and heard the grievances of the public. He also received petitions from the public.
Speaking to the media later, Minister Senthil Balaji said, "Rs. 200 crore has been allocated to Coimbatore and work has started. A survey has been conducted by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to take precautionary measures in view of the Northeast monsoon. All are ready to work round-the-clock. 1.5 lakh new electric poles have also been kept ready."
Mininster Senthil Balaji also criticized BJP State President Annamalai and called him a political clown. "Don't ask me questions about him. He is the biggest 'Karagatta' team in the world. News of this clown comes first on television. Are we commenting on journalists like he did? This Government that cares about journalists is the present Government of Tamil Nadu," opined Minister Senthil Balaji.
